“The Daman Chronicles” A Day in Eric Daman’s Shoes

“Swarovski partnered with televisions’s costume designer Eric Daman for an online mini-series called “The Daman Chronicles” on cambio.com. The series follows Daman in his daily fashion adventures: spending the day with a magazine stylist, a fashion blogger, and a fashion museum director as viewers get a glimpse into the life of an Emmy winning costume designer.”

The Daman Chronicles is a behind the scenes fashion mini-series. In episode 2 of The Daman Chronicles, I’m joined by dyed-in-the-wool, true-blue fashion blogger Keiko Lynn. With basics from Keiko’s wardrobe and Swarovski’s Fall Collection, we co-create five signature looks for the fashionista’s blogging inspiration (Natural, Dramatic, Classic, Romantic and Eclectic) based on my book, “You Know You Want It.”

In episode 3 of The Daman Chronicles, I sit down with Valerie Steele, a fashion historian, is Director and Chief Curator of The Museum at the Fashion Institute of Technology. We dish on how trends evolve and feel even more modern this time around! The way styles of the 80’s reappear feeling refined. We also discuss some of my personal design inspiration.

We had fun with our friends on Twitter and Instagram in launching the series, Swarovski and Cambio hosted social media contests to celebrate each episode.

On premiere night, I cohosted a LIVE fashion event with Miami fashion blogger Ria Michelle, at the Swarovski Tabacco Road location. Dressing as their favorite Gossip Girl characters and sharing via Instagram or Twitter offered the chance to win Swarovski’s gorgeous bling-bling prizes and Seasons 1-4 of Gossip Girl on DVD. For our online friends we streamed the glamour live on Livestream!

In designing a luxury accessories collection for Atelier Swarovski’s Spring Summer 2012 range, Eric Daman’s ‘Native Modern’ collection fuses an ancient theme with the pioneering spirit of Swarovski. The latest Swarovski crystal mosaic and ceramic are combined with American Indian aesthetics. The show-stopping jewelry line creates impact through use of bright hues and textural diversity finished with antique detailing on the metalwork which adds to the tribal feel.

The series will premiere June 19 on the Cambio website, and will be followed by a live-streamed kickoff event at Swarovski’s Lincoln Road boutique in Miami.
